God’s providence is His protective care, purposeful guidance, and sovereign direction over creation, history, nations, and our individual lives.
In this message, Pastor Ollin Collins explains that although the word providence may not appear directly in Scripture, the truth of God’s providence is seen throughout the Bible. God sustains all things, directs our steps, works circumstances together for good, and guides the course of history.
Through the lives of Joseph, Moses, Jonah, Joshua, and the disciples, we see that God can use weather, people, interruptions, setbacks, and unexpected events as instruments of His will. What appears to us as a delay, disappointment, or change of direction may be part of a much greater purpose.
Pastor Ollin also challenges us to examine our own lives. Are we slowing down long enough to ask what God may be teaching us? Are we willing to follow when He redirects our plans? Are we ready to respond when He calls us to salvation, service, or a church family?
