The Bay Community Church is a Christ-centered, non-denominational church committed to the truth of God’s Word and the proclamation of the Gospel.
To proclaim the Gospel of God’s grace locally and globally
(Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:19–20)
To build up believers through worship, fellowship, and biblical instruction
(Acts 2:42; 1 Timothy 1:3–5)
We believe the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God and the final authority for faith and life.
Every word in the original writings is God-breathed and without error.
(Deuteronomy 8:3; Matthew 4:4; 2 Timothy 3:16–17)
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
These three are co-equal, co-eternal, and of the same divine nature.
(Matthew 28:19–20)
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became fully man without ceasing to be God.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He came to reveal God and redeem sinful humanity through His death on the cross as our substitute.
He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now serves as our High Priest, intercessor, and advocate.
(Matthew 1:20–25; Philippians 2:6–8; Romans 3:23–26; Romans 8:34; Acts 1:9–11; 1 John 2:1–2)
We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith alone in Jesus Christ.
It is not earned by works, but by trusting in Christ as personal Savior.
(Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8–9; John 3:16)
We believe all who are born again by faith in Jesus Christ are eternally secure and can have full assurance of their salvation.
(John 6:37, 40; John 10:27–30; Romans 8:38–39)
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity who convicts the world of sin, regenerates the believer, and indwells all who trust in Christ.
He baptizes believers into the body of Christ, seals them for redemption, and guides them into all truth.
Every believer has the privilege of living a Spirit-filled life.
(John 3:5–7; Romans 8:9–11; Ephesians 1:13–14; John 16:5–15)
We believe mankind was created in the image of God, but through Adam’s sin, all people inherited a sinful nature and are separated from God.
Apart from Christ, man is unable to restore his relationship with God.
(Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12; Romans 6:23)
We believe the Church is the body and bride of Jesus Christ, made up of all believers.
It began at Pentecost and exists both as a universal body and as local congregations.
(1 Corinthians 12:13; Acts 2:1–4; Ephesians 2:19–22)
We believe Jesus Christ established two ordinances for the Church:
Water Baptism
The Lord’s Supper
These are to be observed by believers until His return.
(Matthew 28:19–20; Luke 22:14–20)
We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ, which is the blessed hope of every believer.
(1 Thessalonians 4:13–18; Revelation 19:11–16)
We believe the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to believers for the building up of the Church.
(1 Corinthians 12–14)
We believe angels were created by God as holy beings. Some remain faithful, while others, including Satan, have fallen.
(Revelation 12:9; 1 Timothy 5:21; Jude 6–7)
We believe all people will be resurrected bodily:
Believers to eternal life
Unbelievers to judgment and eternal separation from God
At death, believers are immediately in the presence of the Lord and will one day be fully glorified.
Unbelievers will face final judgment and eternal punishment.
(John 5:28–29; 2 Corinthians 5:6–10; Revelation 20:11–15)
We believe every believer is being transformed into the likeness of Christ and will ultimately be made perfect in Him.
(Hebrews 10:10; 1 John 3:2–3; 1 Corinthians 6:11)
We believe the Bible is the Word of God. Every word is true.
If what Scripture says conflicts with our beliefs, behavior, actions, or attitudes, we will change—by the power of the Holy Spirit.
